Growing up in a multicultural family, I was exposed to disparate cultures at a young age. I learned to never waste a grain of rice from my Japanese grandma, the true meaning of hospitality from my persian relatives, and to appreciate delicious foods from around the world from each and every member of my extended family. I was lucky enough to travel often as a child and attribute my interminable wanderlust to my parents.
