He was always full of life and happiness. He wasn’t prone to worrying like the rest of us and had one of those glass half full outlooks on life. He taught me how to play backgammon and 90% of every card game I know. The token sound he’d make when he drew a joker in rume is a sound I’ll never forget. He would buy more fruit than you could ever attempt to consume. He loved bread. I inherited my ability to eat or drink anything scalding hot from him (sorry to everyone that has since burned their mouths eating an xlb right after me). I will miss his joy, his random obsessions, and his triple kisses. There is comfort knowing he’s reunited with my grandma who left us a few months ago. I imagine them together somewhere warm, enjoying some persian tea. Miss you always. ❤️

She was the kindest and most selfless person I’ll ever know. On Sunday she was telling me that all her grandchildren are her flowers growing out in the world. She loved flowers. She lamented not being able to show us all “her Iran,” but I told her we’ll all get there one day. She said she won’t be there but she will be at the same time. She then recited some persian poetry as she was always known to do. She will be forever missed, but I’m comforted that she will finally be in peace. ❤️
